Who has the time to lay out a calender that shows all the coming events for us here in lovely FLA?

I wanna do some boating, but I don't have the time right now to research all the available events and plot a calender....

There has to be somebody working a "corporate" job that has plenty of time to lay this out....

The schedule is being laid out at the current time. We hope to have the schedule posted by the end of January. Please keep checking!



Schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions and/or conflicting interest.

Captains are NOT to consume alcohol while operating a vessel during a sanctioned event, until the vessels have been securely docked for the night, or put on their trailers.

Captains are responsible for your boat, your crews actions and liability, Coast Guard Approved Safety Gear and vessel insurance.

OPBA 2002 membership must be paid in full to participate in an event.

OPBA Members must sign a 'Waiver and Release of Liability and Indemnity Agreement' prior to departure. (OPBA Registration Release Form). The form you signed when you joined the OPBA.

Rick: the Sarasota Offshore Showdown Spring Poker Run on May 16th is produced by the Sarasota Offshore Showdown Foundation for Kids to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Sarasota Chapter of PAL. The Suncoast Offshore Racing Association or S.O.R.A. is not involved in this event in any manner whatsoever. They have their own poker runs throughout the year, but this is not one of them. I just don't want any misunderstandings from anyone about anything concerning this Poker Run or who is or is not involved.

Glad you're coming. It is sheer stupidity, but unfortunately there are some, who shall remain nameless, who will be really upset if "one group is confused with the other group". Funny how it is only one group who causes "discontent" simply because of the existence of the second group. I guess it's just egos, I don't understand it. Seems to me that people who like to support offshore racing should do just that, and not make a stink over who is sanctioning, what group you are, or what charities are being benefited.
Some people just need to grow up. I know you know what I mean.

The Jacksonville Firefighters Poker Run on June 3-6. Last year was the 2nd annual and there were 106 boats and this year it should be close to 150. You can check out the website at www.jffpr.com
