Check out pokerrunsamerica.com. Bill Taylor says he's not afraid of competition! If he's not why is he suing the Town of Gananoque, the Chamber of Commerce & most of the local volunteers. Yes the 1000 Islands Poker Run was voted # 1 but it was because of what the locals did to make this run the best of the best. This years run has one land stop & all the rest are boat stops, nor will it make any stops in the United States.
I also feel sorry for all the Runners trying to tie up to those Itty Bitty finger docks in Kingston Harbour. That I have to see.

Re: Poker Run-1000 Islands-This Weekend???
Nick, the finger docks were fine, the blues festival was fine, the resturants were fine, and Confed basin rocked. The 1000 Island Poker Run was always about changing venues, (Rockport, Brockville, Kingston, and Gananoque), where does it say that it has to be in Gan to be a success ?
The volunteers of Gan always did a great job, but the Islands themselves are what make this run great. The route this year was fantastic, lots of open water, combined with a couple of slow/rest sections of beautiful scenery.
