Windy City Poker Run - Chicago Aug 5th & 6th
 

Come One, Come All to the "Windy City Poker Run". This unique run will held on the Great Lakes departing from Northern, IL heading to Wisconsin and back. This event is going to be covered by "Powerboat Magazine". Sponsors of this run include Shogren Performance Marine, Livorsi Marine, Lamborghini Chicago, Red Bull Energy Drink and Mercury Racing. All proceeds after expense will be dontaed to "Make A Wish" foundation. The run is limited to the first 100 boats and 30 Lamborghinis. The cars will go to the same stops as the cars. On Friday August 5, 2005, we will be giving rides in boats and cars from 3pm - 7pm to "Make A Wish" families. If you are interested in volunteering your time please note on registration form. On Saturday August 6, 2005 "fire your engines". We will have videographers and photographers covering the event. On Saturday night we will be awarding three wishes to "Make A Wish" kids and wrap up with dinner, awards and live music. We look forward to seeing you there. Local lodging is limited. Great question!

We look forward to seeing you at this "Official Poker Runs America" event. You are pretty close to the center of the horse shoe, great spot.

As of Saturday we had 39 boats signed up for the www.windycitypokerrun.com. Boats representing all shapes and sizes, primarily vees and a few cats. There are a few big powered boats signed up. Rumor has it Reggie will bring something fun. So far the following brands will have a showing at the event: Fountain, Donzi, Formula, Skater, Eliminator, MTI, Scarab, Baja & Sonic. Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Mercury Racing will have there new semi race trailer there on display. Red Bull Energy Drink will handle all the card stops, five in total.

Because of space we can only have 75 boats and 25 cars. The cars will go to the same card stops as boats. Red Bull Energy Drink one of our sponsors will be handling all card stops.

Skipper Buds, another one of our sponsors was kind enough to move all boats out of brokerage area allowing us to park in a horse shoe figure in front of Tropics. Should make for some great pictures.

There are several sponsors signed up already including Poker Runs America, Fountain, Myco, Donzi, Formula, Pier 57, MTI, Poly Wheels, Livorsi Marine, Art Of Design, Mercury Racing, Lamborghini Chicago, Red Bull Energy Drink, Art Of Design, Elite Designs, Skipper Buds, Make A Wish, to name a few. All sponsorships are now being handled by Poker Runs America.

The run is ninety miles, start at Winthrop, go north and come back. There are a total of 5 card stops for this event.

We will have three helicopters fro this event. One helicopter for boat bix, one helicopter for Powerboat & PRA Magazine and one helicopter for Poker Runs America television show. This is going to be recorded for future broadcast. The actual event will be played in its origional format during dinner on a jumbotron.

We have a great dinner planned with entertainment afterwards.

There will be a first, second and third place prize and money. I think every winner will be happy.

We will also be granting a wish to THREE "Make A Wish" kids at the dinner. This will be great for everyone to see what each one of these three kids with life threatening illnesses will receive.

If you are interested in giving a child or family from Make A Wish a ride on Friday between 4-7 let us know. We will have local news coverage for these rides.

The cost of the event is $600.00 per boat. That includes, 4 people, gifts, t-shirts, fun and more.
