Default Another Potomac River Poker Run to Solomans

A copy of an e-mail from Art, looks interesting.........

Hey this is Art - some of you might remember me in connection
with my boat "Snake Eyes" I own Gilligan's Pier Restaurant and
Steakhouse on the Potomac in Charles County Maryland.

Ginger and myself are putting together our first Poker Run, scheduled
for August
13th to Solomons Island Maryland

We have rooms and slips reserved - We just need you!!!

The kick-off for the Poker Run will be on Friday August 12th, we will
host an
"island party" (for real----- it's right here and most of you don't
even know it) that evening with appetizers, music and fun! Final
registration
will be Saturday morning on the 13th. Gilligan's will serve a
breakfast buffet
with a bloody mary bar and we are on our way. Lunch stop will be at
Port
Kensail on the Yecomico River and then to our final destination.....
Solomon's
Island on the Patuxent. The final destination is where the party will
be.
Dinner will be served, Kaos will rock the night away.

Rooms and slip are booking, so if you're interested HURRY UP!!!!!

For detailed information, email Art at [email protected]
Prices are being locked in as we speak, hopefully within two weeks all
details
on pricing will be final.

Until then............ CYA

Re: Another Potomac River Poker Run to Solomans

I'm from Solomons - count me in.

Opps, I forgot. I don't have a boat. Figures the Solomons Poker Run would come back as soon as I sold out.

Hey Bobby - doesn't this look like Mike Harris' old boat?

Bobby,
I’ve owned a go-fast boat for the last 10 years and I’ve always felt that a cool boat always trumps a cool car. It seems the car I just bought kind of disproves that belief.

This car attracts big-time attention and I’m getting blinded by the photos being taken.

Thanks man.

Although I’m not in the business of running an amusement park, I’ve known you for a while and if we run into each other down in Solomons this summer you can take it for a test drive if you’re interested. It would just entail a brief lesson in Viper driving prior to launching. Vipers are not very user-friendly cars but that’s what makes them fun. It’s the closest a guy like me will ever get to driving an actual racecar.

The guy who installed my exhaust lives and breaths NASCAR. He spent some quality time under it and commented that the chassis is built exactly like the chassis on a Nextel Cup car. The first thing the threw him off was having to remove all the sheet metal under the car. The entire bottom is encased in sheet metal to cut down on wind resistance.

Anyway – hope to see you down in Solomons this summer. I’m pretty easy to spot.

Hey Shah Mat – sorry to hijack your thread but at least we’re keepin’ it at the top!!!
