Hard to believe bad gas damaged a valve like that unless all of the pistons show knock damage also, what does the knock sensor data show? That was probably a flawed valve IMO

the ME is a ceramic foam, it’s basically sanding with fine sandpaper. I would be careful using that on vinyls, it probably “cleans” by taking off the top layer of the material

I’ll be extremely reluctant to continue using bolts in your situation, I would make the switch the studs now before you damage the block. If I am buying fasteners I always make the switch to studs.
