Weiand 177 max rpm is 13500. I spun mine to about 12500rpms on my 525SC.
If you're spinning it 10k+, its best to change the lube every 20 hrs.

As far as whether they can make 730hp depends on what the engines make N/A. The 540's probably would make 600-650hp...

Well I do agree these boats are great in rough water, night and day from a 30 Scarab. I remember punching holes in some waves on snotty Lake Huron blowing a northeastern while sipping a beer.
