Your best bet is probably just ordering two new axles. They are not terribly expensive. It is 5 lug hub? Chances are it's a 3500 lbs. axle if so.

It should not increase GPH just because the rpm’s are higher. The throttle is still in the same place and less pitch puts less load on the engine and the engine spins faster
