A stock 502 magnum will crank in the 155 psi neighborhood. That's an 8.8:1 motor with a [email protected] cam.

Upwards of 180 suggests oil in the cylinders artificially raising the psi.

I have to ask...

This is my 1978 23ft SeaCraft SeaVette, they only made them two years 1978-1979. They made 11 with the I/O in 78 and a total of 14 I/Os all together. It has a 420 Mercruiser, MerctransII/TRS drive....
