P1 Racing Series on TV

When can we expect to see 2008 P1 Racing on TV?

liam 06-05-2008 02:29 AM

really dont know
TV coverage seems hopeless this year
last year I used to get it on Motors TV and AB Moteurs

I also sent an email to Powerboat P1 to try to give channels and timing on the website, but as yet noting
apparently Sailing Channel is broadcasting it but I dont get it...

I think the US TV schedule for the 2008 P1 series will be pretty much as last year. Which is that SpeedChannel will show the series on a weekly basis in the fall. Don't know any dates as yet and probably wont for six months or so. So in the meantime it's best to log onto www.powerboatp1.com at race weekends and listen to the live radio commentary and watch the action via the GPS read outs on the Virtual Spectator screen.

The Maltese GO network/programme will be showing a 47 min programme of every Powerboat P1 event. However they've yet to publish any of their transmission times. The best network is Sky Sports (which is pay per view but has a European footprint) who usually show the event within 14 days of it happening. Also the Italian Nuvolari, Telenova and Yacht & Sail channels show the races pretty soon after the event. I agree it would be helpful if the Powerboat P1 website had a link showing all the global networks who plan to show the races. The information does exist. In the meantime listen to the races live on Powerboat P1 Radio at www.powerboatp1.com.

Hi Chris Witty,
you look like an insider?

Do you know what happened with the La7 deal announced in San Benedetto?

Can you answer my question about Panatta's boat on the other thread

thank you for your help!

chris.witty 06-06-2008 01:19 AM

No I don't know what happened to the La7 deal announced in SBDT. Teddie Borg, who is Maltese and makes the local TV programmes, should be able to help you as you're on site this w/end.
