Sportdeck Water Tank
How does the hose on the back of the boat spray water? Is there a pump? How do you turn it on - breaker or button?
|
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Good question. I was wondering the same thing.

By the way, do you have any plans to make it up to this side of Long Island this summer? |
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Its funny. These boats are new to us so we have the same questions. My boat should be here in NY next week. Im not sure about the North Shore. My truck isn't really large enough to tow my trailer.

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
There is a toggle by the back seats about ankle hight. Try that. Thats where mine is.

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Thanks trader1- That was my next question, what that switch was for.
Active- Do you have any top speed #'s yet. I hit 78 Sunday on calm water, 2 people 1/2 tank of fuel on Saratoga Lake. Still trying to find the sweet spot with the trim. The top speed seems very sensitive to the trim position. In a 2 foot chop it will probable top 80. Not bad , very happy with those numbers with the 496's in fresh water. :D :D |
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
I haven't seen the switch yet. Where exactly is it? We saw 80 during the survey.
|
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
The switch is on the starboard side directly below the cup holder on the rear arm rest, on the side but near the rear speaker. If you can't find it tomorrow I'll post a picture. Raining here now.
Does anyone know who bought the purple Powerplay from Extreme Marine? |

Uhhh....you mean , "that's where Semper's is" :D :D |
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
I heard there is another one coming to Lake George and they guy bought it in Lauderdale, could be it.
I wanted to replace my bow light with a pop up type, has anyone done this and is there enough space below? It looks really close. I have seen them on PP's but I wonder if they were originally put there and are set back a little farther. |
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
I was wondering if you can make the deck hatches flush, like a cigarette has it. I think that would look sweet!

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Congrats Semper! I guess the survey was ok and you and Matt made a deal. I think you will really like it. Matt took good of it. Let us know if you decide to come out to seatrial, or maybe a weekend and pick it up. Don

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Congrats Semper!! I was wondering if that was the boat you were buying. I think you made a wise decision. There were a lot of really nice Powerplays on the market this spring - funny how many of us looked at the same ones! Post some more pictures of your boat - I love looking at the different ones out there!

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank

My switch for the transom shower is where all the others said theirs was. Below the bench seat starboard armrest. The pump is behind the portolet. Here are some pictures of my bow light mod. Mike |
Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Thanks a lot Lickitysplit! That's great, I'll order mine Monday. I have a different lamp on mine but it is in the same spot. I was worried that it wouldn't have enough clearance because it was so far forward. That looks much cleaner. Was it hard to install?

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
I found it in a thread he started a week or so ago. I'll go back and try to find it again and let you know.

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
So just to follow up on the water tank....what happens if you turn the switch on and forget about it? Do you have to worry about burning up the pump? Is there any way to tell if it is on or not? Does the hose just start spraying, or is there a button on the hose also that turns it on and off? I found the main swith under the armrest today during my cleaning marathon.

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Jromy, the transom shower has a button on the back that turns the spray on. Mine jambs, I take off the front of the nozzle and push it with my finger to close. I don't know if it burns up the pump to leave it on. I don't think it does but I've never tried it. You can hear the pump running if you're inside the cabin and listen carefully, it is pretty quiet,.

Re: Sportdeck Water Tank
Xpress33, not too bad, a couple of hours work. The wood/glass is pretty thick, maybe 3/4", at the nose. As always, the right tool for the right job.
