Air intake vents?

Does anyone know who makes them or were I could buy a new one. Fender caught and broke a fin on mine last weekend. :(

Hey Express, we are making them out of aluminum with a more modern design they are going to look hot. Also will have the same bolt hole location as the ones you have now. We plan on putting them in production in 4 weeks. You can also get them in stainless.

That would be great! Let me Know the $$ I'm very interested. Our you going to offer them powder coated? I'm sure they will look better than the original ones, I've seen the original ones on a Apache before. You may be able to sell yours to replace those to. They use another section or two to make them longer. :D :D :D

Does anyone know who can order the Attwood Marine grills for you? Boats US carried them years ago but no longer.

According to Attwood they are available from West Marine through their Special Orders department: 800-262-8464.

I've been looking for these things for a year !! Just ordered them.

I was going to suggest West Marine but I was told by someone that it was the same company as Boat US, like Office Max and Office Depot. Just different name in different parts of the country. I'm going to wait and see what baja27's look like before I order a new one for mine.

Indy, around $60 for 2 center sections and two ends. It was probably 56 something but you get the idea.

That was with tax and standard shipping.

Thx LS...are you going to have yours painted or did you get finished ones?

Re: Air intake vents?

They are just plain old white. The original ones were white but had turned yellow over the years. About 2 years ago I busted a couple of fins off one with the bottom front side of a fuel dock but found a replacement at Boat US. After I replaced it I noticed how yellow it had become. Of course when I went back to get another.....well, like I said, I've spent a year looking here and there for one.

What Active said...paint them. No matter what color vent you buy, even if your able to get the white ones. Scuff them with a ScotchBright pad & paint them white(or whatever complimenting color you need) Appliance White Epoxy Spray paint is durable & bonds well, if your not set up to spray catylized paint. The plastic won't turn on you, from the UV, when painted. Paint won't loose it's luster. Therefore, you can just buy the easier to find black or chrome versions of the same Attwood vent(s). You will find that nobody stocks the white ones(marine distributors), but do generally have the black or chrome versions. Ed
