My 33' is for sale

Ok peeps, here it is, time for me to unload my dream boat. I've always wanted a PowerPlay but only after two years I am selling it. Nice boat...hopefully it finds a loving home.

Good luck with the sale Steve. Are you downsizing or getting out of boating for a while? Me and my brother will probably be storing our boats at Cove next year(we'll be in 27-29 footers). It would have been cool to have 3 performance boats lined updown there.
Pete

Indy 09-25-2007 10:12 AM

I'm out of boating for a while :hothead:

What are you guys getting?

Gladhe8er 09-25-2007 10:32 AM

Currently we joint own the Scarab(it's for sale as well). We are going our separate ways and each getting a boat for next year. I am looking at 288 Sunsation, 29 Fountain, 28-29 Velocity(the GF & I like the stand up boats better). My bro is more likely going to get a 29 Kryptonite, 27 Activator, etc.

Indy 09-25-2007 10:35 AM

Check out the Nordic 28 also. Paul (TSPM) has them over in Long Island. I had one before the PP and it was a sweet boat. More room than the Sunny and Fountain and the same performace. You might also want to try Rex Marine on the other side of the harbor for rack storage. I couldn't stand trailering the PP everytime I wanted to use it, too much time wasted washing boat/trailer, flushing etc. When I had the Nordic I kept it at Rex and used the heck out of it because it was so easy. I missed going out a bunch of times this year because it was such a pain in the nuts to get it ready to go out and clean it up at the end of the day. I'm not one to take shortcuts in the cleaning dept so it was certainly an ordeal.

Gladhe8er 09-25-2007 10:49 AM

I think the Nordic is a sit-down boat???

Good idea about Rex Marine. I just always assumed a service like that is VERY expensive....

Indy 09-25-2007 11:04 AM

Nope...not a sit-down at all. Contact Paul, nice guy and has some 28s in stock, his oso name is TSPM I think.

I haven't been to Rex for a few years but the prices weren't bad at all considering the area, plus they have great mechanics there.

Gladhe8er 09-25-2007 12:01 PM

Cool, I will check out the Nordic's and Rex. I won't hijack your thread any longer. Good luck selling! I am trying to get rid of mine before the winter as well.

Steve_H 09-25-2007 12:39 PM

wow, sure is clean:cool:

Salt while I had it, the dude before me ran it in mostly fresh, some salt.

DRIPPINWETII 09-25-2007 12:46 PM

WesSmith 09-26-2007 07:39 AM

the 435hours, are those original hours for the boat and the engines? Can you tell me more about your maintenance you have preformed?

baja27 09-26-2007 08:19 AM

Indy where did you get the gps holder, also what type of gps do you have. It looks good in that area, one more question, what do you end up doing with your compass?
Thanks

I had it custom made and painted at a plastics shop, it is a permanent mount. The GPS is held in with velcro so I can remove it at the end of the day, it's a Garmin 3205. I have the compass and never reinstalled it. I was thinking about putting it on the passenger side but never bothered.

The hours are all original as far as I know. Maintenance on the engines or overall boat?

SUNSATION 25 09-26-2007 07:25 PM

This sucks Steve! Damn fine looking boat! and I don't need to mention how well they ride! too bad my buddy doesn't want to spend that much otherwise it'll be sold already....

I know you've stated you didn't use it much but remember you only live once and I know I MAKE time to go out and use mine, hopfully things may turn around and you won't sell it and enjoy it more.......

MJED1 09-27-2007 04:19 PM

What speeds does she run with that engine set up?, Is there a porta potty in the cabin? - Thanks

Indy 09-27-2007 04:33 PM

Mid 70s I guess. I haven't had it WOT since the sea trial and that was 69 in true 5's with the drives tucked.

Yes it has a never used porta potti.

I hear ya Jason...I've pretty much lived my life like that, but now I'm trying to grow two businesses and at the end of the week my tired a$$ 50 year old body is worn out. Dragging around a big boat is becoming more and more of a POA and I'll probably downsize so I can get back into rack storage again. The biggest boat they take is a 28...so maybe a smaller PP some year is in the books :)

Lickitysplit 09-28-2007 06:52 PM

Hey Steve, sad to hear you are selling the boat. The pictures reflect the care that you've put into her. Beautiful boat. Best wishes on the two businesses, let me know if you are ever down in the Jupiter / Stuart area. The beer and the boat ride are on me.

Mike

Mike...I'll take you up on that offer if I make it down that way. BTW...If I had those beauties that you have in the bilge I might be rethinking my decision LOL!!!! Running strong I take it?

lukiepal 09-28-2007 08:08 PM

Dont know the layout of the cabin, is there an inclosed head?

Indy 09-28-2007 09:04 PM

No enclosed head...porta pot just aft of the V-berth bulkhead. Two small closets on either side of the companionway. Just a typical mid sized go-fast layout.
