Sunshine is easy to find from the Ocean side. They have a huge American flag and are on the north side of the Bahia Honda bridge/ it is on the south side of the 7 mile bridge.

PPlay33 10-24-2007 06:12 PM

Been there many times. It is a nice ride from Ket West. I may leave a little early if I need fuel. Stu makes you wait for all the poker run boats too fuel first.

cowisl 10-25-2007 10:17 AM

The group that is having lunch at Sunshine Key is the 100+ group and the Ft.Myers group. Should be interesting!

canttouchthis 10-27-2007 09:11 AM

cowisl 11-14-2007 10:34 AM

We broke down the first day....I do have pictures of Donnie's 33 and Cant Touch This which I will post later. I even saw the outboard 38, which looked great

Karaokemike 11-14-2007 04:36 PM

cowisl saw your boat in the slip and it looked GREAT

baja27 11-14-2007 05:53 PM

cowisl what happened?

cowisl 11-15-2007 03:08 PM

Thanks guys....We had water reversion. Trouble shooted and thought it was bad headers. Long story short, we broke a connecting rod and a rocker arm. The old headers are at cmi being tested again- they were just tested in July and passed. Brand new motor too - things that make you go hmmm....

DEFYN GRAVITY 11-15-2007 06:10 PM

cowisl, I'm sorry to hear that, not fun!!!!! Are your CMI's "cool collars"? I wonder how many issues the CMI's have had over the last couple of years. Wish that I had Stelling headers on our PP. Hope everything works out!!! Robbie

How many inches are your tailipipes?

cowisl 11-16-2007 10:51 AM

Just got a phone call from CMI. The old ones passed again! The tails were brand new and i am using cmi tips with an enternal baffle with hpi external flaps. Let me dig up a pic to figure out how long my tails are...Any ideas guys? This motor has about 3 hours on it!

Ted G 11-16-2007 11:00 AM

If you have any rubber hose between the exhaust parts check it for damage in the inner liner, Karaoke Mike had this issue with his Formula. The inner liner came down like a flap and caused it to revert water.

cowisl 11-16-2007 02:20 PM

Just heard back from the machine shop. The valve that broke was not spec - the rest of them were. Looks like the machine shop that rebuilt the engine initially ran out of the right valves!

DEFYN GRAVITY 11-18-2007 05:54 PM

WOW!!!! That really sucks!! Are they going to take care of you? Lets us know how things go! Robbie

The motor is now back together and runs great (so i am told). I will have the discussion with engine builder tomorrow. We shall see how it turns out.

PPlay33 11-27-2007 07:49 PM

Chris, did they tell you what happened? Sorry it broke at such an inconvenient time. It would have been fun running around the Keys with it. Hope the builder helps take care of it. Did you leave the boat in Florida?

cowisl 11-28-2007 08:47 AM

Hey Donnie. The boat is now at the Port Marina in Lauderdale for the winter season. I hope everything is good to go now. We shall see this weekend.
