Powerplay 25

Just curious if any of you guys might know anybody that specialize in selling Powerplays. I have a 1994 25 in great shape, and looking to get rid of but I need some one that can tell me a fair value on it! I don't want to put in the classifieds and look like I am off my rocker. Unfortunately I have not seen enough to find real market value.
Thanks for any advice Mike

Wally 09-09-2008 09:10 AM

where you located? whats it got for a setup? hours on the package? Any saltwater use? is it all original? all factors that will help dictate price...

Nice looking rig. I see it was retrofitted with the newer style seats.

kenken 10-06-2008 04:53 PM

what kinda price would u sell for what size chopper props you running you got on the 2.5's is that the 280's how much mile you get out of that boat?

rhinolineit 10-07-2008 10:19 PM

Sorry, I have been traveling and not had much time to catch up!
The seats are original!

The boat on a good day with low fuel and a bit of drivng it 88-90 mph!!

Thank you again to the guys that have called me and talked to me about the boat. I really appreciate the advice, and also the offers.

Thanks Mike

"The boat on a good day with low fuel and a bit of drivng it 88-90 mph!! "

That sounds awfully strong. Is that on gps?

What kind of rpm's? What props are you running?

northernoffshore 10-08-2008 09:27 AM

check out the 25 in the classifeds Wonder if the o/b bracket helps?

rhinolineit 10-12-2008 10:31 PM

Powerplay 25

Yes that is on gps with 14.5" 3 blade cleavers 24 pitch with about 20 gal. of fuel and me! and about 7600 rpm .

With the way the jackplates have been set up and the small fine tunning it is definately doable, only problem is the chine walk. Trying to push over the 90 mark and it is hard to drive it or maybe I just don't have the balls !!
The motors run very stout and have been exceptionally reliable considering how much people knock them, I have seen some other boats with 4 strokes and they are only getting into the 70's , all I can figure is the motors cant turn the rpms.

Thanks Mike

Powerplay25 01-13-2009 11:12 PM

C'mon Big Ragu, pull the trigger!

TeamSaris 01-26-2009 06:18 PM

Would be interested in selling it w/o power?

rhinolineit 01-27-2009 07:40 PM

I would rather sell it as whole. Thank you for the interest. Mike

allboutspeed 01-29-2009 09:47 PM

BUIZILLA 02-01-2009 08:18 AM

how close are you to Baxter? I have a lakehouse south of there at exit 280... PM me a bottom line, I know someone seriously looking.. thanx

frequentflyer 02-02-2009 04:06 PM

Just as a point of reference, my PP 25 (Open fisherman) with T-'98 Pro Max 300's would do a max of 82 with 26" Chopper IIs.

Now,

That was with the wind, low fuel, and myself and my brother about 200 Lbs each. And yes, it required a heck of alot of driving past about 75. Below that, it was ROCK SOLID. One hell of a boat.

Don't know about the closed decks. They may be faster spinning more rpms....

rhinolineit 02-02-2009 10:17 PM

Buizilla, it won't let me pm you give me a call at 931-265-9004 whenever you get a chance. By the way baxter is about 15 min from me. I run the boat alot on centerhill!

Frequentflyer, you are right on the driving part! From my understanding the open deck model is a bit heavier, correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks Mike

That's what I have heard too Mike but I have never actually been on a closed cockpit. On my boat you needed choppers though and not cleavers. I ran my boat with Hydromotive 4 blades once and almost cut my veins. My boat needed lift... Dave and Bill had done all the research and tried every combination but I decided to be a bad a$$ and try something different. Suffice to say, I went right back to the chopper 26s. Never did try Cleavers though...

Don't know how your weight distribution is so Cleavers might work...

I like Bravo I's on mine. I going to try a pair of labbed 28's this spring. The ones I run now are stock 26's. Also going to try a friends Hydromotives and see how it runs.

Frequentflyer which way are you running your props? Mine are spinning out, but going to try spinning them in this year.

My boat would just not run right unless I was running chopper 2s for some reason. I sold it and bought a fishing boat (Bull Dolphin 22') with a laser but when I tried a chopper on it the boat was dramatically different too. The chopper picks the boat up out of the water and gives you a light steering feel. It's strange to describe unless you have experienced a boat with and w/o a chopper. If you can get your hands on some test chopper 2s, try them. Just let me know... I ran my props spinning outward.
