If I get this boat I'm looking at it has no external hydraulic steering, so I might go for an exension box (they can have internal hyd seering right?). Otherwise I agree it shouldn't be too heavy at all, pretty light on the amenities.
Its easy to install and...... well ~2500 + or used for less. |

My 28 AT runs 72 w/a 525. I seriously doubt a single 500 will run over 80.

everyday getting a little closer to putting this 502 approx 550 hp in my 28
I will keep you posted on end speed. hoping for 75-80 tops |

What's the weight of your AT? What's the weight of PP with a single? The PP is quite a bit lighter I believe, as it is slightly "less tall" (less freeboard) and pretty light on the ameneties. I do think the PP is faster than the AT with similar power from what I can gather.:party-smiley-004: |

That's why I'm sceptical.

All the PP are actually built like race boats with less strength, due to cabin. but the weight is pretty much the same as the race setup,,what the pleasure version has in seats and benches ,,the race version has in extra bulkheads. So i think its pretty much plausible to get 80 with a HP 500 and a shorty on a 28 PP with the right prop . |
