25 PP ??'s
Looking at a 25 PP and was wondering if anyone could give me some info on how the boat handles the rough water, I live at the jersey shore and our water is nasty, I know its only a 25 but was wondering how it will handle the water with a 22 degree rise and a pad. Seems to me you would get beat up but have heard diff.
Thanks Tom |
Can't see how it would be good for your waters. Had a 28' 22 degree boat and it was tough riding. Moved up to the 33PP and what a world of difference. I'd look for something else.

I have both a 25' and a 33'. Certainly a 22 degree deadrise hull will not ride as smoothly as a longer 24 degree hull, but there is surprisingly little difference in ride quality between these two boats.
If you are using a 21' Challenger, Superboat or Shadow for reference, throw out everything you know. The 25' Powerplay ride is in another league, closer to the ride of the 33' Powerplay. There are certain conditions, such as a tight 3-4' chop when the 33' has a clear ride advantage, but that is to be expected. Otherwise, the 25' delivers an exceptional ride. It's dry, stable, fast and responds quickly to throttle or steering. I recently had my 25' for sale, matter of fact the ad is still on S&F, but I may keep it. It can't be replaced. It's bulletproof. Reliable. Easy to take anywhere. And always fun. http://forums.screamandfly.com/forum...d.php?t=206652 |
