i have owned my 1992 pp 25 sportdeck for 3 years now, i am running a 502 w/871 blower est. 750 hp w/bravo 1 drive. i am looking to get it to run faster, now i am at about 81 gps. solid boat, great drivability, and handling. is this boat capable of faster speeds? i havn't seen much about the i/o 25 pp's. on this thread? any opinions would help me thanks brandon

It has a pad bottom that the boat runs on at high speed which in this case is a plus ,there should be a few more MPH left in it.

Get ahold of Patrick (Performace Marine ???? I think) He raced a 25PP Sportdeck and can tell you the hot setup. Once he got his boat figured out he was really hard to beat. He was one of (very) few "A" Class boats that could compete with Buzzi & The Bat Boat when they where allowed to run "A" Class.

Steve1 can probably help some too :)

This totally depends on what you are trying to achive. Spinning your props inboard will make an azz heavy boat run a tad faster, But you really feel the props jerking the rear of the boat around. The higher the X-Dim the more you feel it. A deep X-dim may not feel it at all. also (depending on your Xdim) spinning in will not carry the nose well since it lifts the azz more.

What do you call Xdimension ?

I swapped mine to inward rotation this year. It definitely lightens up the back end. Also had the props (Bravo's) labbed, added an inch of pitch and had cupping added to the tips for more bow lift. It made a big difference. Felt like a different boat. It took a little while to get used to it. I'm happy I made the change.

FYI. Handling around the docks is worse. You basically have to drive it like a single.
