(#16) Hull cut up by Sunsation. (Running plug – Joker/EPIC performance yachts)

Great list, photos. Note the list isn't the actual production order just a random order. The Joker boat was never a running plug, it was a hull that Dan felt was imperfect after it was pulled, so it was collecting dust. It never got wet, rigged with anything.

Keytime 12-19-2010 01:18 PM

Cool thread. Would be nice to see other boat models organized like this, although obviously more difficult with higher production numbers. Thanks for the thread.

dkwestern 12-19-2010 01:21 PM

Gotcha on the Joker deal, thought they got the plug, my bad.

Definitely not in order. (Grouped more by engine power)

1st was 750/pulse, 2nd was Defyn Gravity, after that ??? JMS what # is your hull based on HIN#?

rlj676 12-19-2010 02:39 PM

Great thread, thanks for the effort!:drink:

I'd like to try the same for the 28's, as it actually had an even lower production number from what I understand.

Pretty sure black one was #4, navy #5. I will ask Oliver. Navy one was finished after black one for sure, boats were identical except for hull color. The black one was painted like a Playboy Cig (Oliver liked the classic look). The black one easily was the most used of the 38's. In the first 4 years it covered 10,000 nautical miles on the GPS and had over 400 hours on her. That boat spent weeks at a time in the Bahamas during the summer.

It should be easy don't we own 20% of them with our 2

10.300xs – 250xs – BVI
12.525/ITS – BVI

Not sure about these. Never seen any 38s in the BVI or USVI. Quite a few 33s though.

That was the 2nd boat in the photo lineup, in fact the same shot you posted as well. The navy hull has been re-rigged with 700/NXT's in the last year or so. The hull has less than 100 hours on it and is kept in an a/c warehouse out west.

#10 and #12 is in MARTINIQUE, French West Indies

JMS322 12-20-2010 08:16 AM

The hull ID# for a documented vessel is available on the NVDC website so it is public knowledge, therefore I have no problem posting it.

No Life Like It - PWN10238F103

Defy'n Gravity - PWN10438L102

dkwestern 12-20-2010 01:15 PM

I'm wrong again, No Life is 2nd, Defyn 4th. Thought Robbie always said his was 2nd, (maybe 2nd completely finished??)

Which is even more confusing since Robbie's is an 2002 and mine is an 2003. Would they serial number them as they were pulled from the molds and year stamp them as the year they were completed. Leo did tell me it took well over 2 years from initial commission till time of completion.

dkwestern 12-20-2010 01:45 PM

Just found that:
3rd boat on the list is hull #8 (Fox Sea Five/Cowisl/Sophie) PWN10838I203

1200 boat is hull # 16 (Cant Touch This) PWN11638C405

JMS, that is prob why Defy'n was 2nd boat finished, but 4th popped from mold.

About true!

I'm hoping that as the owners of the 38's see this thread they throw up some more pics.

Oliver told me today he "thinks" his was #5 or #6 (black one) but can't remember exactly. His did get held up for the 525's, they just came out and Dan wanted those in his boat instead of the 500 efi's. Some of the early boats may also have been held up due to custom power requirements.

As most of you know our 41 center console is based off the PP bottom. Yes we are starting the new 38 Epic Go Fast deck.

MR.HAPPY 04-14-2014 05:28 PM

I take it the 38 Epic never happened.......

Odd that its painted black. There was only one black 38 and it was the OSO Powerplay, then the "Fast Finance" submarine.
