We weighed the truck by itself before we hooked up the boat and then the whole rig and then subtracted out the truck. Advertised weight on the 38 is 8600 lbs +/-. Does a 3 axle Alum Myco weigh 2100 lbs ? My boat lift is a 12K lift and lifts it no problem even with 250 gallons of fuel, full fresh water tank, and loaded with gear. I will say that when we weighed it the boat was pretty much empty in all respects(40 gallons of fuel, empty water tank and none of the wifes required we have to have this onboard gear). Everything else was on board.

These boats are loaded with heavy luxury items that do nothing for their diet, but they are a bagged corecell layup, so I dont think your numbers are too far out of line if the boat was basically dry and empty. I would have guessed about 11,500 lbs. for the boat and an aluminum Myco trailer. Shooting from the hip, that trailer probably hits the scale at around 2,500 lbs.

The only luxury items I have are a fridge and vacuflush head, NO tv/dvd/vcr, microwave, water heater, galley sink, gen, or A/C, although the wife is pushing for them to be added. The cabins are built pretty light, ALL the cabin interior with the exception of the headliner is only installed with velcro and can be removed and on the dock in minutes. Makes doing a super fine detail cleaning of the cabin a snap.

You search a 38' PP O/B or I/O?

SS930 03-19-2011 06:04 PM

Hello Charles. I'm looking for an I/O. If I'm ever looking for an O/B, I know who to contact... I think you have the only 38 PP O/B, correct? Very nice boat!!!

They are MASSIVE boats. I liken them to a 38' "Black Thunder" size boat when it comes to shear girth and weight.

Any word on this Brian?

Thanks!

Actually, no. It looks like everything in-hands is staying that way for a while.
