Default Powerplay 230 Conquest

Looking at picking up a 88 230 Conquest with the 350 in it instead of the bigger motor. Don't see anything around this site about them.
This would be my first prop boat. Always had the yamaha jets before. Any info on how these boats are holding up what to look for would be appreciated.
New to this site but a lot of good info.
Thanks

I believe those are actually made by the company now known as Powerquest. You could repost in there for better info.

YH,

The 230 Conquest was built in Holland, MI by Powerplay/Powerquest. Company originally was named Powerplay which changed name to Powerquest; name change probably had something to do with the south Florida boat builder named Powerplay.
I had a 1989 230 Conquest- solid boat that was built like a tank, had a lot of room for a 23' boat. Stock mine had the 330hp 454 and ran low 50's, repowered with a 450 hp 502 and it ran 63ish. Pretty heavy boat so I would imagine the 350 would be pretty sluggish. I'd look at the cockpit and cabin floors pretty hard to make sure the wood is still dry and solid.

Depending on where it is, that might be my friend's boat. He had it in Chicago and was storing it in Michigan at one point before he sold it. What's the name on it?
