What a perfect all round boat.

nice set up perfect power for the 33

i think it still needs shorties and boxes... but one thing at a time, I am having some issues with my oil pressure and water temp not working since the boat has the older 9 or 10 pin harness and the motors have the 14 pin. So I posted in the General Q & A about rigging up a bypass with some AGI boxes to get everything working again. Not much help so far and Mercury basically told me to totally re-rig the boat with new 14 pin harnesses (because we are all high rollers and can afford their ridiculously inflated prices, right??). Livorsi was more helpful and told me to run smartcraft data cables from each motor into a 6 way junction box, and then run wires from the junction box into AGI boxes to convert the signal to analog, and then wires from the AGI boxes to the gauges. They said this SHOULD work but no guarantees... there has to be someone that has done this but not a whole lot of feedback so far.
The boat does run very strong though, and am happy so far with the performance. It really pulls a lot harder with the 525's. |
Wow now I'm even more jealous.
Good luck on the gauges too. Let me know if you're selling old stuff... |
Would still like to get into a 38 powerplay... You can buy mine anytime Rick! :)
|
Talk to Mark at Bam Marine he helped a friend with that issue,

Boat sounds good with the new engines AJ!!! You got a wicked ride bro.
|
Hey buddy I saw your boat running but never caught up with ya at the marina, are u doin the torch lake run? Your boat sounds real good must have got her straightened out!
|
Boat is running very well. Best I've seen so far. Been tinkering with carbs and timing and I think I've got everything straightened out. No more stalling in the river idling out. Just wish that she would get up on plane easier. I'm kinda thinking about 280 k planes to help but I haven't done any research. What's the torch lake run?

Few shots from Boyne Thunder... One compliments of offshorexcursion/neverthrottleback and the other is from shoot2thrill

Well- It had been way too long without any upgrades so I thought I'd get a set of underwater lights and a new Nav unit. I went with seablaze x lights, I had good luck with my old seablaze 3's so these should be even better! For Nav I was going to go with the Garmin 741 but my current cutout hole was too big so after much debate I ended up with the Garmin 7610. I am very happy with the results, check it out...

Well... after a long winter, it's finally time to show the new upgrades to the boat. Special thanks to Kirk @ Elite Marine for the hook up on the gauges and throttles, and Brian Orlandi- who took the boat on short notice and got the throttles in for me. Since we were swapping them out, he put in all new indicator and shifter cables for me, so she should be buttery smooth with the new livorsi's :cool-smiley-026:
Here is a before shot of the gauges, I didn't take a before pic of the throttles but there are plenty on previous pages. And after... I installed the gauges this afternoon. Since this is one of the few that have the holes drilled through the glass instead of a back panel, it was a real pain in the @SS!! Took me around 9 hours. Went with livorsi platinum faces and polished mega rims, thought that would match nicely with the chrome on the throttles. Next I think I'll powder coat the trim around the trim indicators purple. Enjoy!! :flag::musik010::boat: |
Top notch!! Enjoy that beauty!!

A great shot of my girlfriend and the boat up on Torch Lake over the 4th of July weekend.

The boat has officially been delivered to its new home today in Ohio. Has been the best boat I've owned, hands down. Will always have a lot of pride in that beauty.

very cool
and when is the new beast coming??? Can't wait to see this.... |
Sad in one way exciting in another. It is always hard to let a great machine go but sometimes you just need something different. I loved my ZRC but after 3 and half years needed something different. Happy for ya!!

On another note, your sale seems to have sparked more 33's to go up for sale. A couple are $15,000 higher than the price they sold a few months ago! :party-smiley-004: |
