When I was in the market for a hot rod. These were the contenders: 33pp, 32AT, 34 Sutphen, 35 Pantera, 34 Phantom. All weighing in between 7-8k lbs.

A better comparison would be with my 32 Sunsation vs a 28 Powerplay or 28 Cig SS. Ha Ha.

How much does a 33PP with a couple of BBC and bravos weigh?

bwd, If you consider those hot rods, what's your phantom considered?

Really miss my 33pp, great boat! Only reason I sold it was I wanted more cockpit and cabin room. I haven't had a chance to compare it to the Gun on Erie yet as I really only got out there once after getting her. The plan is to step up to a 39 Gun 700 boat or keep the 38 Gun and get 33pp full stagger, maybe that's why I'm holding on to those 525's?? I maybe getting closer as I think the 69 Camaro may have found a home, next to go is the Chevelle. Only time for one hobby now and that's boating

A fairer comparison would be a 35 Cig. A buddy of mine has a t/s and we are side by side in any water so far...
*we haven't had the chance to run ****ty water yet* |

Interesting comment. I have a friend with a t/s. What power in each of your boats?

He has 525's and I have worked 509's (carbed) so far neither one of us can pull on the other but I am willing to bet as the water builds he would pull ahead.
