I have to agree with most of these guys. Boat is too nice and too low hours to put a bunch of used up rigging in it. Now we are talking low hour or new stuff, and prices above are on the low side for that, plus the work/labor to put it all together. You are easily over a hundred k finished, and I just don't believe it would bring that. As much as I wish otherwise the market for old school straight bottom hulls just isn't there anymore. Guys that have a hundred g's to spend will be looking at newer faster or bigger. Those of us that want a wave crusher and like running in big water are a rare breed.

You have a cool boat and I don't mean to offend you but yes IMO it would sell sub 80k range finished. I own one and would love to see resale prices go up but I just don't see it happening.

So your saying this boat completed would be in the price range of Bobs 2000 33 PP outboard center console that he's asking 75K for?
I sold my 2000 outboard skater for more then that and the economy was in worse shape. Again, I've looked and see nothing comparable at 80K.. What do you guys value it at? |
Guys
Let me be clear..I'm not being combative and want to keep the thread going with view points from all so I hope everyone understands that. |
What do you think a comparable boat is to a 33PP out of curiousity?
|
maybe there is a hurricane sandy boat that could be bought cheap and used as a donor boat

To add I don't know who's more of the market for a 33 than someone w/ a 28 who wants a 33, although an OB boat is way off my radar. Admittedly though, the PP market is very difficult to judge due to rarity of them. Very few for sale, an early 2000's changed hands recently I think which would be the best comparable, no idea what it went for. There's also very few comparable boats from other makes. AT has built like 5 33's I think, and then what else is there? |
Tz- I own probably the most comparable boat to yours out there aside from the 496HO's that are in mine... Drives new in 2010 built past XR spec and its as clean as any. I'm only chiming in on price bc you ask, but IMO a 525/XR boat would be 80-85k. I had the opportunity to buy mine with 100hr 525's in it and that's what I would have expected to pay with that power. If it would have been any more then I'd probably look for 35-38 with blue power.
Do you still have the power we talked about on the phone last fall? |
