Looks like it has a lot of salt water corrosion on it, drives, outside of engines, etc. It does not look like it has closed cooling? So how are those engines? The exhaust is not stock Merc MPI so was that replaced, was it because of corrosion? Mechanical looks poorly maintained, but the hull looks good.
Lots of questions for this one?? I want to upgrade one day and I want a boat like this but I will not make the same mistake of buying a poorly maintained boat. look at all the stuff I have done to my boat the last 4 years, much more work than I thought!!! Live and learn!! |

32K seems like too much to ask for it in its current condition.

Boat needs some TLC but these are hard to come by.

Very true PP are hard to find and I love these boats. I'm thinking amount of money/time I have been spending to fix up my little 24 year old 24/7 over the years, now add more boat and a second engine and drive to that figure.

with some TLC this boat could be brought back to very nice condition... obviously a survey would be in order but if the hull checked out you could do some interior work. Cabin and Bilge seems to need the most attention, and you can bet most of the hardware should be stripped and re-powder coated. But his number is just an asking price... start throwing low twenties at him, ya never know what he might take. I know a 33 with 525's a guy might take 85k for :D

For sure I think mid 20's would be fair with the work needed to be done on it and that is because I do my work myself. If you had to pay somebody to do the work... I'm not sure it would be a good deal in the mid 20's.
Almost all PP's that you see come on the market are perfectly maintained (because they are rare and pride of ownership is shown) and you can eat off the engines and bilges on them. So yes the prices on those PP's are higher but rightfully so. When I finish my boat this spring I am going to keep it for a few years to enjoy my hard work. When I do start to look for a new to me bigger boat (hopefully a PP) I don't know if I will do a project again or just shell out the extra coin for a perfectly maintained boat. |
