I would look at the 97 that's in AR with the speedmasters. The boat can be bought for less than what he's asking. The owner seems like a pretty straight guy. Met him at LOTO as he was there in his deck boat.

I agree I spoke with him a while ago about trading my 28 for his boat. HE IS A GENTLEMAN I am sure if he got any reasonable offer he would do the deal and it would be hassle free.

As for the one in Virginia. Has anyone seen this boat or know anybody who knows of it? Thanks

I haven't seen it, but I spoke to the owner. He talked like it was in average condition for it's age and just needed a few minor things and the stitching was pulling apart a bit on the interior. He also said there is some stress cracks on the deck, but that seems like it's common for the boats.

He seemed like he was being honest about the condition, but the definition of "average" or "good" condition can be subjective.

I can t find it but a couple of months ago we had a whole page conversation on that boat. and the guy who owned it for years posted a pic of when he raced the boat. forget the name it had but a few of us remembered it . well recognized boat . its here in these blogs the owner said it was fast clean and dependable.

Yes he was a gentleman as well as his wife. We were parked both days next to each other. I sounded like he really wants to move it. It's a speedy boat it wont have drive issues and giving two additional drives. According to him, he hasn't used it in the last 2 yrs. It has no trannies that haven't been used yet. His deck boat sounded serious for a deck boat.

SM82 which 33 is being talked about here - the one in Vir or the one in Hot Springs Ark.

So... the Virginia boat with EFI500's was raced by a previous owner?

IMO the 1997 in Hot Springs Ark was raced at whenever. Port mounted Tab & drive rocker switches and throttle controls and so does the drivers side. Gauge packages on both sides as well. Center mount drives & tabs indicators. A race boat at one time or was planning on it.
