Ok. My brother and I on our 25 PP Open Fisherman. 28 Concept with T - 250's out by Elliott Key. It was rough for the bay, maybe 3 - 4 ft + seas. Concept takes off with two guys and a bunch of girls. We ran them on the way to Blackpoint Marina for about one mile (ahead of them by about 1/4 mile) and they changed course. We chased them running hard , got next to them and really throttled down. They hammered it but I will tell you what.... This 25 was handling the waves much better, ran straight, and just plain dogged them.

Then my buddy which also has a 28 Concept w/T 250s raced me straight out in about 3 ft seas. We got him by about 1 mile from Elliott to Blackpoint in 3 foot seas. Let me tell you. Since that day, I swear by these boats. It's not that this guy was so much slower than me it's just that they were taking a beating. Don't get me wrong.. We hit a few times too but definetly tolerable and just a solid straight ride. I love my boat and everyone I take for a ride has said it's the best 25 they have ever been on... So how's that for a story... :D

Yeah ... but you said the guys with the Concept had the girls right ????:D

dkwestern 02-03-2004 03:31 PM

Oh ****; that is a good point, but I guess you won the race so you're still alright.

GLAD TO SEE THERE ARE SOME POWERPLAY GUYS OUT THERE. I HAVE A 1996 33 WITH TIRED 525SC'S. MOST OF THE NEW STEP BOTTOM'S CAN GET ME IN THE FLAT WATER, BUT SHE SETS HER SELF APART IN THE BIG WATER.I MOSTLY RUN THE BOAT IN THE CHESAPEAKE BAY,BUT THE BOAT HAS BEEN TO THE MIAMI TO KEY WEST RUN AND THE N.Y. CITY RUN. HEY LEOPAJM DO YOU THINK THE GUYS IN THE CONCEPT STILL HAVE THOSE GIRLS? IF I GOT BEAT THAT BAD MY WIFE WOULD HAVE SWAM HOME!!!

frequentflyer 02-04-2004 02:10 PM

Yes... They had the girls. My brother and I were out alone. Our wives were home that day.. I swear we were alone... ;)

I agree, I was hoping that the guy that had Powerplay build the 38 with diesels was on here, I wanted to hear how it turned out.
