It's Official!

They finally got the boat out of storage and I was able to sea trial it this afternoon. She past and we now are the proud new owners of a 1997 26ft Legend XL. Just need to do a little cleaning and she'll look as good as new! Question????? This boat has a key-less ignition pad and I was wondering if anyone else had one?? If so is there another way to start it if this thing were to go bad?? Also is it me or do these bolster seem to be mounted a little to far back from the wheel?? My Conquest sat nice and close. This one I'm really stretching out. By the way does anyone have a full mooring cover they want to part with? I hate leaving it exposed.

Thanks Brian

Congrats Brian.

Can you post some pictures? Maybe even of the keypad. I have never seen one.

Re: It's Official!

As much as I LOVE my 260, I have to agree about the bolster locations. I am only 5'10" so I really have to reach for the wheel if I am leaned back in the seat. Thought about moving the bolsters forward a few inches, but haven't had the heart to do it yet. As for the cover, good luck. I have tried the route of finding a used one and haven't had luck. I am planning on ordering a new one soon. I tried a used cover from ebay that was custom made for a 24' Sea Ray cruiser. I thought that the deeper cruiser style would be long enough considering the Quest was longer, but not as deep. No such luck. It's about a foot too short (story of my life). So if anybody wants a great cover for a 24' cruiser, I'd part with it for cheap. Anyway, I have my eyes on a cover in the classified section, but haven't convinced myself to buy it yet. I'd rather see a fellow Quest owner buy it if I don't. Enjoy your new ride!

Will do on the pics. It's raining today and the forecast is ran all weekend. Why not!!!! I just get the think home and am excited to load it up and do some cleaning and I can only look at through the windows sitting inside the house. As far as the bolster I did notice that you could leave the bolster frame bolted to the floor and move the seat itself forward about 4-5 inches. The problem being is the rear hand rail on the back of the bolster. You'll have to plug some holes and drill some new ones, I'm 5' 10" myself and that's just not a comfortable setup for me. I'm going to look more closely at relocated the seats. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Well the snows gone and the sun was out for a short period so I had a chance to take a couple quick pics. I was told this may have been the only PQ built with the keyless pad. Does anyone else have one??
