Here's a few pics from the PQ Rally yesterday. Sorry for the poor quality, I left my spare battery for the camera in the truck and this one was on its last leg, therefore it reduces the resolution to its minimal setting to conserve power. I believe we had 30-33 boats total. Pretty good turnout.

Fast Forward, which boat was yours?

A fun rally, it would've been even better if I hadn't packed my Stbd drive with sand and ganked up a prop! made for a slow ride back from Mona Lake, I won't be going back in there again. It was great meeting everyone!!!!! Let's keep in touch.

Ditto! We got hooked up on a log in the middle of the Harbor. Took us about 10 minutes to get off. Scratched up the drive and prop and packed the pickup with a wood chip. Other than that a good time. It was nice to see some different water and people.

Boathead we had a 26 Legend, Here's my boat. We were running a few minutes behind Saturday morning getting to the rally. When we arrived you guys were just leaving the docks. Therefore we didn't get achance to meet to many folks. And leaving Mona Lake, we were one of the first out and back to the dock. We ended up pulling out and loading the boat on the trailer due to the storm. By the way which boat was yours??

We had a great time and got through Mona pretty much unscathed. I guess it was just luck after comparing stories. When leaving a Large fountain got hung up on the sandbar in front of us forcing me into reverse which sucked in a little sand. We shut down the engines and I got out and pushed the boat into deeper water all in the driving rain of course. The next morning lake Mich was a little sporty so we came back to the marina and ended up having another great day. Lunch was courtesy of Great lakes Marina at the tap room. Then it was rafting up at bear lake and dinner at dockers. A big thanks to the PQ crew and Ed at Great Lakes Marina for making it great time. If you have not used Great lakes Marina, We highly recommend them!!

Fastforward,
I had the 38 with the green, purple and yellow custom stripes, and I was Waaay behind you, got back to great lakes at 8pm or later.

As it turns out, it's a good thing I came back early Sunday, I ended up having to backflush my oil and fuelcoolers, exhaust manifolds and the seawater pump, plus change the impeller! Lots of sand in the bilge, but no sand in the block.......

Marc,
looked to see if you needed a ride to pickup your truck/trailer, but you were GONE!

Keep the photo's coming!!!

Boathead, We left at about 9:00 that night to head back home due to the rain and forecast. Matter fact we never even put her in Sunday due to the heat (100 deg in St Joseph). It takes us 30 minutes to reach the lake and the wife just was'nt up to it.

I think next year they should run through the model line up and have everyone stand up with that model. It would be interesting as things progress with the rally to keep track of that data. As well allow others to chat with owners of the same models and compare notes.

All in all a good time and much improved over last years. Hats off to PQ and Great Lakes . We bought our boat there and they are a great group of people.

Paul,

Thanks again for the offer. I should have taken you up on it instead of trying the big lake thing. Sorry to hear about your sand issues. I pulled all of my plugs in the morning and blew out the cooler line but got nothing. I think my stbd sea water pump might have suffered a little, probably throw a kit at it tommorrow. Nice to meet you guys. We'll see you next year.
