Loose hinges?

Looking for a little help. I have a 2000 280 and couldn't be happier. I have one small problem. The screws that secure the engine hatch hinges keep coming loose. I have tightened them several times but the nuts in the hatch seem to be stripped. This spring I plan on removing the hatch pad to check it out. Anyone know what I will find? T-nuts?, Nylocks?, ???
Thanks for your help,

toptrim, had the same problem with my '93 Enticer, they were nylock nuts i believe, don't remove the pad if you don't have to. i just disconnected the lift ram and strapped a rope to the hatch-tied it to a roof joist in the pole barn to hold it up past 45 degrees and used one of those cheapo l shaped phillips wrenched to retighten 'em.
Good luck,
paul

Thanks boathead, but I think the nuts are all the way off. A few of the screws have fallen out and when I reinstall them they just keep turning. I need to get to the back of the hole in the hatch.
