New Tabs & Exhaust Tips For Sale
 

Well I have a few new items I purchased a few months ago that I've now decided not to install. I have a New set of Insta Trim Dual Ram tabs which are the larger 15" model made of 1/4 inch stainless, List is over $500 I'll take $325.00. Also I have a brand new set of stainless Tips with inner flappers no mufflers 4" dia I want $130.00 for the set. Just thought I'd offer them to the PQ bunch 1st.

Why did you decide not to install? I thought you sounded pretty excited about all your new parts.

The tabs became and issue when PQ decided to bong the other with 3m 5200 adhesive. I spent over and hour and only remove 3 of the 25 screws. I than noted the the entire plat had been sealed with the sealant. The tips I simply changed my mined. To be honest next year I want to move up and I don't want my wife complaining about the added noise. So I'll do that on the next go around.

There is a product available that will loosen up the bond of the 5200. Can't remember the name of it off the top of my head but a quick search should net you some results. Piano wire would assist with the bond between the plate and the transom once the screws are removed. Though it is a pain to remove, you should be glad PQ used 5200 as you never had to worry about the tabs breaking loose from the transom.

I will admit the 5200 is some good stuff! It's like lock tight for the marine industry.
