290 P.O.S. cabin door !!!!!
 

Has anyone found any black magic too fixing these things correctly? I'm gonna attempt to take mine apart, Does anyone have any do's or don'ts?? Oh yeah its a 94 model, if it matters. THANKS

No it is, I guess a little older. It is black acrylic with white aluminum trim. It has a small lock on top, of which is not operable at all from inside!! That was someones great idea!!! YEAH RIGHT!!

great, i just got that door 2 years ago because the original one gave out. PQ said that the all black door was garbage so they switched to these.

I remember reading this post sometime ago. This weekend I thought about it when I was running some wiring on the PQ. You probably already know this or thought about it but if not..... When I had the dash plate taken out it provided a large hole to maybe work on the track of the door, at least the top track. If the door was wedged or stuck, it may help to take out the dash.

After the factory repaired my cabin door (under warranty) They attached a red label CAUTION sticker....stating that the door shut be open at all times when vessel is in motion. Now to me this is sort of asanine...especially when your moving down the lake in the rain.....your not allowed to close the cabin door and at other inopportune times

OUCH!

I leave my door open all the time. I help secure it while open with a peice of foam (coozy) that holds the door in place in addition to the latch at the bottom. This stops any motion and limits noises also.
