What exhaust tips look better (pic)

Going to be replacing the exhaust tips with Hardin Marine straight tips without mufflers. Can't decide though if I want a straight cut or angled. Which looks better?

:D check out my hydraulic steering setup ;) (boat needs cleaning, I know)

I just did mine with angle cut and internal flappers. Try Trick marine, had the best prices. If you call Teague they will try and talk you into external flappers and Im not a fan of them, its just what ya like.

I got my straight cuts for free from a friend and bought the flappers. I don't mind the look has a bit of tradition to it

Depending on the type of internal flappers, some internals let a lot of water go by. If you sit beached in an area where there is a lot of boat wake I would suggest straight cut with internal and then you have the option of using external for precautionary reasons.

Hey pkspx,

I still have those cmi tips with no internal flappers that I want to get rid of. They are brand new in the box. I will try to send you a picture of them to your E-mail.

Pkspx, I prefer the straight cut for looks. Not a fan of the external flappers. But I also lost an engine a few years back due to loosing an internal flapper. At the least the externals you know there in place as well as easy to change.

On another note your tab cylinders are pretty faded. Mine looked just like that until about 3 weeks ago when I pulled everything and repainted. What a huge difference.

T-Bone if he not interested fire me some pics. As long as the bolt patterns the same I may be interested. [email protected]

After running my boat with the new tips on I think I gained a bit...... I can now run 70.3 on GPS with a full tank and 4 adults, I think I could only go about 68/69 with that load befor.

Just FYI :D

I ditched the muffler tips a while back with angled cut tips. I made a mistake and ordered the shorter 4 inch tips and sent them back for the longer ones which I believe are 6 inch. Here are a couple pics.
