You are right, thread is dead.... I think most of us are bummed the boating season is STARTING to wind down!

I love the fall and the start of football but it means boating is on the way out. :(

Yeah I hear you, North sucks! I haven't run the boat for such awhile now. I think the last time I ran her was middle of August. Shes more of a taxi now on the river for bar hopping LOL.

Well with luck the forecast in lower Michigan is mid 80's this weekend. Only bummer is that 72 deg water that we had last week and a few weeks prior is now a cool 42 deg. I've not had the boat wet for nearly a month now. I'm just trying to do my share and conserve my gas consumption :rolleyes: :rolleyes: NOT!!! That baby's going to be bone dry by Sunday night :D !!!! This maybe the last run for me. :( :(

Today was officially my 75th different day on the water in 2006. I track my outings on a whiteboard calendar at work....

75????????? You guys kill me! I would estimate 12 times this year which is pretty darn poor. The big lake simply did not yield many nice days this year on the weekend. And with 3 kids, getting out during the week in between
sporting events is pretty difficult.

By the way John, How's that new Sunsation? Looks great!!

We may start shopping for larger over the winter, just not sure what brand. With PQ gone we may look at something different this time around :(

Keep in mind my boat is 25 minutes from my house sitting on a lift. That makes it a whole lot easier to get out often, even with 2 boys (3 & 5). Me and the boys have overnighted about 10 times this year.

3 trips to LOTO help out too.......

Also keep in mind if you pull the cover off and have a beer on the swim platform you count that as an outing.

Not correct! My criteria is have to be on water in someones boat to count. And i did not count the time I had to ride your polylift at the marina.....

Otherwise add another 15, to that count.

I filled up the ole PQ back when the pipeline went down and they were talking $4.00. Left the office and and paid $2.79 . Boy what a mistake! Oh well know when I top it off for the winter it'll be at a bargin price! Pretty said when when $2.00 to $2.30 is a bargin.

We hear you. Not a great time except you get to replenish the fuel fund for the next year. But last year at this time I was happy to be here north rather than where you are. Hope things are starting to get back to normal down there, but I am sure there is a long rebuild to go yet.
