98 27 laser

What is the "real" money on a 98 Laser with a 385 HP 454? Do not know the hours, but assume its normal.
I have a guy who wants me to take that boat on trade, thanks

I don't know if this helps, but I sold my 98 260 last December for 24K. It seems like every other one was asking 30K plus at the time. Me included. But when it came time to sell that is what I got.

check out www.nada.com

I would have to say on a rough guess, without know anyting about the boat, the equipment or condition, anywhere from 30-40 g's.

Re: 98 27 laser

I looked at one two years ago that was cherry , seems to me it had just over 300 hrs and I belive a 1997. I made an offer and could not make it work but someone else came along and paid just over $30,000 for it. But again it was a cherry!!! There was one in the Detroit area a couple years back that had only 80hrs and they were asking 36k and it was for sale for nearly 2 years.

Lets face it people are looking for the deals and everytime I see one in good condition in the 20's it alwyas seems to sell.

is it me or does PQ loose their values over time alot quicker then others? Seems to me that fountains and cigs hold their values?

It probably helps that Cig and Fountain are still producing boats and participating in marketing, advertising, and the APBA. They are more of a "house-hold" name compared to PQ.

Even when PQ was in business they lagged behind the others when it came to marketing and getting the name out there.

Agree, I've even noticed due to I've been doing a little shopping that Baja even tends to have a higher re-sell value than the PQ. Image sells!!

Re: 98 27 laser

Theirs a lot of overpriced boats out there, just because their
asking a certain price it does not mean they will get it.
look at boattrader some of those boats have been for sale for a year or two. its a buyers market.
PQ still has a strong following in Michigan
once you go out boat shopping and compare its hard to beat a PQ
