Single Engine Owners with Hatch Accuator?

Looking to install a hatch accuator on my 270 LASER. Not sure what brand or models to get, I guess anything or maybe the PQ brand that they were using? Please post any pics if you have them as well.

Whatever you do, don't get the stock actuator that Powerquest installed. It's underpowered. I changed mine to the one sold by Rex Marine. Works great and is built solid.

PQ OEM actuator grossly undersized and poorly installed

Second that - PQ put junk in mine plus it was poorly installed. They mounted the base to the rearbench back with thin screws. Worse, the actuator base mount was at a height that forced it to bow as it extended (if u can picture that). It eventually died from the stress.

I replaced it with a DM-series Thomson http://www.danahermotion.com/product...?parent_id=444. Not cheap but great quality. I got a 24" so I could properly mount it to the centerline beam to avoid a bowing arc (I used stainless bolts versus the OEM galv ones). I've got twin 6.2s so finding a center mount point was easier than what you might face with single engine. You'll likely have an offset.
