I'm in Louisville, KY.

I'm more interested in buying a boat at today's market price, not last year's or the year beofre... Know what I mean?

Do you think he's asking too much?

I just talked to Brian, what he didn't put in his add is that the engine has 5 hrs on it and was professionally built by Mark Boos at precision Marine. This boat is super clean,he just wants to step up to a stepped 38.Give him a call.504-554-5372

Slider1 I'm right there with you!! We were moving up to a 29-30 but have decided not to as my daughters are heavy into softball and thats where you'll find me 4-5 days out of the week. We've managed to get out once this year. The great thing is the 26 is fairly inexpensive to hold so if it's not getting much use it's no big deal. If I had the 30 in the drive I'd feel a lot more obligated to use it.

Fast, I've had the boat going on 3 years, and I've put about 12 hours on it, and about 50 hours washing and waxing! Tired of paying for high and dry storage @ the marina....

That one is hard to judge because of the custom engine. I haven't followed up with this one because of that.

A custom engine with al. Dart heads is way better than an assembly line engine.Mark has a great rep. and the boat is cleaner than new. Bob

I've been looking at a 28' singles lately and happened upon the Powerquest 280 Silencer. Seems like they are a great bang for the buck. It seems that year for year, option for option, the PQ has so much to offer. Anything I should know before making a long range trip to see one or two?

I know the company has been bought and sold a bunch of times and are no longer in business. I've also read that these boats have a balsa wood core.

However, in their hay day, it seems that PQ was highly regarded ranking up there with Sunsation. I mention Sunsation as that is my first choice but I can't pass up at least looking at a PQ for $15K less.

The 280 is a nice ride...way more cockpit than a 288 Sunsation. The Sunsation is longer though. The 280 Silencer is nowhere near a 70 mph boat.

I'm going to have to disagree with you Verbi69.A 28 with a 502MPI will run around 67-68.With a HP500 it will run 72-73(gps)Bob
