Best Props for 29 PQ?

I just bought a 29' 2001 PQ with 7.4 MPI (310 HP), It came with 25 pitch Marige plus 3 blades, just wondering if that was the best props for the boat and motors, please let me know if you have had better luck with other props, I was told it will do 65-68 with those props and i only had it out once this spring so i do not have many hours behind the wheel. Yes many of you may know this boat, it was Calvins

Best all around prop are the 25s you have.
26 bravos will be better of the start and mid range but you will loose 1 to 2 mph,
you got yourself a nice boat, enjoy!

As boatnt stated, you got the right props. Brett at BBlades can work them to make them even better all around performers. He did wonders for cbgenrls 290.

I figured those 25 pitch Marige props were my best option but just thought i would check to see what other people were running, just brought them to get cleaned up today.:drink:

I think he is known as PWRQUEST on OSO. Bought it from him about the first of April. I think he is looking for a 38' now that i bought his 29'

My '96 came with 3 blade 27 pitch props, I have the standard 7.4 MPI's and it spins them up to 4800 RPM (according to tach's). Dreamometer reads 74-75ish; GPS has touched 70 a couple times. I have K planes and they are needed to keep it from getting hairy (chine walk). I'm thinking about hydraulic steering to hopefully cut down on some of the chine walking.

I see that most are running 25's on the standard MPI's, I think those would put me over the rev limiter? Why am I able to spin the 27's and still hit max RPM's? Anyone else running a different prop on their Enticer?

Hydraulic steering is probably a good idea overall at 70, but I doubt it will help the chine walk.

Were your 27's labbed?

Are those mirage props your spining? 27's seem big.

What will? Besides tabbing down.

I don't know if they were labbed, but if I were to guess or bet I would say no. Will labbing drop my RPM's?

Yes, Part Number off starboard prop is: 48 19836 A50 27P; they are a solid hub
