Depth Guage Suggeston
 

Hi

I have a 95 340 PQ. It has the original Gaffrig Depth Guage.

I have had trouble with air under the hull causing no readings like many boats.

But recently it is freezing on 2' after the unit has been on for an hour or so.

Livorsi indicated that the head unit is bad. Unfortunately the new units are not compatible with the old shot-thru transducer.

Question. What units have you all used as a replacement, what type of transducer and where best to locate? Mine is on the starboard side right under the pully. And based on your recommendation any installation tips for the transducer?
