Good to know the sunny crew keeps tabs on me over here tho Scott... I'll consider you the founding member of my fan club! With that comes a free t-shirt, I was going to have sunsation make them so you can expect them sometime next month, or the next, or the n... well sometime before you die hopefully:lolhit:

For the $$ hes dumped into that thing he could have alot better boat. but to each his own right?

Trust me Drock, I don't have an open wallet. All the mods I have done to the boat such as the blowers, race hatch and Innovator rear seat I got some unbelievable deals on so I couldn't say no. Sunsation had that hatch in their shop for about a year after a guy who bought an Innovator wanted a regular sunpad so I got the hatch at a fraction of what it was new. The rear bolster bench I picked up in Ohio for $500 if I remember right and the super chargers were 2 complete kits for $2400. I knew when I bought the boat it was gonna be the last one I bought and knew I wasn't gonna ever sell it so I went hog wild on the modifications. It was Waynes test boat for Hot Boat Magazine so he blue printed the hull, installed billet aluminum flywheels on the motors to get every ounce of speed he could for the magazine trials.
Have I spent WAY to much money on the boat? Hell yes!!!! But she is damn near paid for and she's a 100+mph ride. The cost for a newer boat equally as fast is to rich for my blood considering I don't get to use the Dominator very much. I run my 78 Sanger jet boat quite a bit though in the summer.

P.S. Your buddy Marty is a fabricating GOD. That platform he is building for me is a work of art. I just want him to hurry up and finish it so I can get it painted and on the boat.:evilb:

This computer boating sucks. The Hot Boat mag that mine was in Feb 94' actually has your boat in sunsations ad in it.:drink:

lol, thats ok. im not too proud to admit I like all boats but some more than others and some features that some have. I think Fish looked at a Sunny before he bought his PQ. I looked at them but couldnt afford a 288 and the 25 agressor is built for midgets that wanna feel big. too narrow and shallow for me. looked at a 28 saber too but sold before i was able to get after it. also looked at sonic and AT but hard to come by so i got a smoking deal on a 257 legend. I did love the room and storage in that thing!

While I certainly can appreciate your optimism, I can't see the logic behind it...? Been a boater my entire life and boat owner since just out of high school... unfortunately for you I pay my bills on time unlike your brother Jupiter so I don't see me going anywhere anytime soon.
It's crazy to think that a long while back I actually had a conversation with on performanceboats.com in the Michigan boaters thread and spoke of meeting up some time, then I realized what you and your cronies are really about when KID288 and myself joined SunForums and I shared a video... the rest is history.

Where abouts on Benton Rd are you? Is the boat outside?

I'll have to take a driveby and check it out. You had a wrap done on it didn't ya?

Went to Tony's last night, the water is up but still low by at least 2 feet.....

The lake is open but there is still a lot of ice patches here and there. I'll wait for the fishermen to find all the logs and floating picknic tables and such first.

I can't launch from Tony's yet though, so it will be at home for a while yet..

I actually called on two separate Aggressors, a 288 w/ 525 that I was close to buying before I got my 290, and a 32 Dominator AFTER I got my 290 (kanookster's boat). I have said several times that I've grown up liking all offshore boats even the dreaded baja outlaw everyone loves to hate. The only reason for animosity towards sunsation are a certain group of owners who think their chit don't stink... sling insults then cry wolf when they get it back... hell I've even had other members pm me back on sunsation saying they don't know what's up with the sunny "clique" members. I'm glad sunny went to the taller boats when they went to the step hull, they are Sharp boats and look more like an offshore boat now. That being said, I'll probably never own one now do to the fact that I wouldn't want to be associated with that crowd.

I remember the video and didn't really understand all the grief over it. Or didn't really care. Either way I am positive I didn't comment on the video so you can't really put me in this catagory. The way I see it is if someone is driving like an idiot in their boat, well it's their boat not mine. As long as I am not in any danger then have at it.
As far as Jupiter is concerned,I don't know what happened and it isn't my business nor is it yours. But unless your independently wealthy bad chit could happen to you or anyone else as well. You work for GM and they could do more cutbacks at the drop of a dime and you could be out of a job. You should know this better then anyone. But hey your young and still have plenty of time to experience hardship.

Back on track now... I found this vid a few of you may like... especially the few sunny guys we hold dear on this thread (sun96, kid288 and Campion in case you're wondering...) It has quite a few of your sunsation brothers in action. I literally laughed out loud when the dad tells his son it was only a bird they were beating :lolhit:

Scott- I find it ironic that's all, that after all the senseless bashing Jupiter did that all the smack came back around. Surely I understand hardships, but they teach you at a young age that the only thing that is certain is that there are no certainties... therefore you must plan ahead in case chit happens.
We can agree to disagree... we live 35 mins away from each other, work 15 mins away, and boat the same waters, so beef or no beef we will be seeing one another out and about.

Sometimes you can't plan enough. My wife was u nemployed for 2 1/2 years and it was up to me to pay the bills which is why my boating was virtually non-existant. Figured it was more important to pay the mortgage and other payments then blow it on gas on the weekends. 75% of the population is guilty of spending half of their gross income because they figure "not me". Including myself at one time. Then BAM!!!! Your out of work and have to make tough decisions like keep the house and car and try to sell the boat or let it go and keep the roof over your families head. Now my truck and Jimmy are paid for and the only bills I have are the house and boat and one small credit card. Everything else is paid for and that is the way it's staying.
No matter what the circumstances,I would never wish the misfortune of losing your means to provide for yourself or your family on anyone, you included believe it or not. I don't know Jupiter or his situation, but I'm sure it wasn't planned or something he is proud of.

The only time when my above statement doesn't apply is if someone just decides "I don't feel like making payments anymore". Then they get no pitty from me.:lolhit:
