I was towing my boat down the highway the other day daydreaming and txting back and forth with 288kid and had a random thought... What if it really is a Sunsation Nation??? Could there be a Powerquest Providence???

Ok since this is where all the action is:party-smiley-004: what wax or polish do you guys recommend and use to give your boat all that bling:eek::eek:

I recommend and use Wizards Shinemaster. Very easy to use and great results. I also recommend Raceglaze. I don't use 3M or Meguires nor do I recommend them. For your bc/cc boat make sure to use a breathable polish and not a "wax". Try different products and see what you like best.

Curious here too...I've used Meguires and it seemed pretty good...

I use the meguiers premium stuff from west marine... I thought it did a good job, then I didn't have time and took it to a buddy who used cherry wax on it, looked good.

J- do your products differ when you do from clear coat as opposed to a gel coat or do you use the same products?

He was actually txting me for pointers on how to tow like a pro. My reply was simple. "DURAMAX".

Huh?????????? No Meguires boat wax??????? What are you talkn about, thats all i have ever used and in my opinion my boat looks awesome and so does a buddys 39 cig and a buddies 30 powerquest i have used the stuff for years......Also i use all 3m buffing products also......If you use the products correctly the outcome is the same on all the quality brands including meguires and 3m in my opinion of course.....

I used presta's 3 part system on toms 30 pq the gel was faded really bad and it turned out better than new.......He will tell you that also......And the i waxed it with meguires boat wax with my orbital. (not knocking anyones opinion about what to use)

meguires is all i use on everything. seems to work great and available anywhere

Last night cleaned all the carpets in the boat and all the carpeting. New Radio and new hour meter almost done, now I just want to use the darn thing...

What kind of audio? I run JL amps/speakers/subs off an Alpine head unit

No speakers just the 8 that came stock, new Kenwood Radio and 4 remotes for the radio. Sunsation had to make a bezel for the radio to fit in the current opening turned out sharp and it was nice to hear anything but journey:lolhit: It was stuck on CD and stuck in the CD player:eek:

AJ my old Aggressor had JL amp and speakers sounded great, I also really liked the Alpine head, but Crutchfield had the Kenwood for $89 free shipping but it is refurbished which I don't mind. Does your Alpine the fancy IPOD one? they have some nice new product out.

im just finishing up on my install I got a polly planar headunit, 2JL componets a JL 10 and a JL 600x6 amp, should rock my little 18, its takeing for ever since i didnt want to cut holes so im building boxes for everything under the front and fiberglassing them to make them blend with the boat better

We have used Meguires here but have had issues. Same with 3m. Nothing big but there are other products that work better in our opinion. We have had both mfgr reps out and all they did was throw different products at us without solving the issues. Seems to be more swirls and doesn't last as long. For the past year we have been using Farecla. First in the country to try some new products due out next year. It blows away anything I've ever used.
