PROWRENCH 01-25-2013 04:36 PM

Still cold...120 more days

Tomorrow night we'll celebrate AJ's bday in East Lansing and wherever else. I'm sure there will be stories to tell

PROWRENCH 01-28-2013 08:14 AM

That prediction came true, what a mess...

AJ POWERPLAY 01-28-2013 12:25 PM

lol you're right... hopefully our buddy can get out of that BS. Unreal what an over-zealous rookie officer can do. Laws don't apply to those who "enforce" them, remember?

PROWRENCH 01-28-2013 04:52 PM

It's scary how much of a "police state" that we already live in. Real scary.

AJ POWERPLAY 01-28-2013 06:09 PM

You should have came out and made a diversion... LOL

verbi69 01-30-2013 05:54 PM

Sounds like there is an interesting story to tell for those of us not in the know.....:food-smiley-007:

boatnt 01-30-2013 09:36 PM

#1 reason they didn't ask you... You refer to yourself in the third person... Put a $20 in the DB jar. :)

AJ POWERPLAY 01-31-2013 03:46 PM

Hi all, I just bought a tired old 185 that I found on cl. Just wonder what power can go in these safely. I have a 385 hp 454 that I'm thinking of putting in this. Also can the alpha handle this power being a small boat? I am an experienced boater and don't break drives on a regular basis. I just want this to be a fun reliable easy to tow and good on gas kinda boat thanks

If memory serves the fuel tank is in the bow in the 185 to help with weight distribution and they handle differently depending on fuel load. I would think a big block would really throw off the CG and make for an ill handling/poor performing boat. Given that it also has an Alpha drive, I would look to power it with a small block in the 300 - 350 HP range to accomplish your goals.

It's been a busy December and January!

We sold our house and moved the first of December to something a little smaller with a nice in-law suite. A couple of small renos later and the inlaws are all moved in.....my garage went from 1200 square feet to about 400.... So it's been challenging to set up my new glorified shed!
Moving two families has had me running busy!!

Josh LaFountain 02-13-2013 10:37 PM

Hows the PQ family dealing with winter? I know im goin nuts waiting for spring. Just drinkin some beer talkin boats with a buddy tonight and thought id check up on you all.

Need4SpeedGTCS 02-14-2013 09:49 AM

Cabin fever setting in pretty bad here!!! :fear:

I was able to 'buy' extra vacation time for this year so I'm trying to plan/maximize my boating season. :drink:

BlueOval 02-14-2013 01:20 PM

Winter is one thing, but rain, then 16 degrees. Uncle-I give!!!

Still about two feet of snow here!

fantastixvoyage 02-24-2013 02:05 AM

Long winter for sure...a week in tampa and a quick run down to the Detroit boat show sure helped. On one hand I can't wait for the warm weather but on the other still a heck of a lot of "winter" projects to finish up before boating season!

That just depends on if it's in Virgina or Mexico! :cartman:

bert4332 02-26-2013 10:39 PM

I'm sure the true owner was most likely shot and was shark food some time ago. Running a boat like that in Mexico draws the kind of attention that loses one head, literally.

AJ POWERPLAY 02-27-2013 02:34 AM

Thats why i stay the USA... Or better yet, right here in Michigan. The Great Lakes and its beaches are tropical enough for me! :D
