Not walking over my deck 2 times an outing with 10 foot of chain and 100 foot of rope, wet feet, and big anchor to fall on deck... Just my .02 |
nope not worth it. I mean i can also buy a boat that does not have a ****ter, and just **** off the back....
I anchor every time i am out. In a current, it needs to have one. on the bow where it goes. |

Boating on rough waters , it's the worse place for an anchor to be bouncing around.

Well I don't think it would be wise to walk on the deck with all the hardware, but.....one could pull out the anchor from under the seat, throw the anchor over the side, let it grab, then walk to the front of the boat with just the rope to tie it off??
Just my .02 Verbi are we thinking about Key West....mmmmmmm beer! |

OK looking at more boats with out lockers......
so lets say you are by your self in a 5moh current. HOW do you suppose you do all this? if in calm back water i understand, even some ocean spots, but ona river with a current, pulling up to a spot a little ahead of where you need to be, and plling it, is alot easier if you can tuck it away and get abck tot he helm beffroe you into a beach. |
I end up buying the 34 Vyper PQ. Best boat minus the lack of Anchor locker. Can’t win them all.
I ended up buying the box Anchor that folds up and comes with a heavy duty bag. Stow the rope and anchor in the bag at put under the bench seat. |
everytime you anchor the boat do you grit your teeth or cuse your self?
