Hydro Hoist?.....Scott

Scott, How can you "Mount" your hydro hoist? Do you always have to do it from the back or could you do it from the side? I am looking at property on a canal and cannot pull straight in I would have to get next to it and pull latterally. Can the Hydro hoist do this? or will it not go deep enough? - Thanks

Ray,
Sorry but it won't work the walking deck floats if you look at one of my last rebuild pictures you will see what I'm talking about.

There are some other model hoists that might but I'm not sure. I have a boating mag with all the makes available compared in a article. I'll try to dig it up and have a look.

Can you dig a new channel or is that out of the question?

Knowing myself I may :p

The channel is only about 60' wide, I dont think they would like to go arround. I am looking at a "cottage" in Algonac. This particular house has no slip but does have a seawall. I have seen a side mount lift for this application but that would be perminent, I thought the Hydro hoist would be good because I could take it with me. It has 110' of frontage so I will have to check If I could have enough room the enter from the rear.
