93 222 spectra xl prop question
 

I just bought this boat with the 454 mag carb and bravo with 500hrs. It came with 3 props a 22p Mach 4 blade on the boat and 23p and 27p mirage(not plus). I ran it today with the Mach full fuel and 2 people it would hit 5200rpm and seemed to be touchy with the trim once you get to about half it seems to just start to slip. should I look at a different prop or stick with what I have and which one to try the 27p seems like it would be to much pitch. This isn't my first performance type boat but it has been awhile since I had one. Thanks for any advice

I have the same boat with the same power. The 23p Mirage will be just about right. Mine turns about 4650 rpm and 62 mph with this prop. I have also run a 21p Rev4 prop on mine. It performs alot like the 22p Mach 4 blade that you have.
