verbi69, I checked out the 320 in Oshkosh today. I'll pass on some of my findings.
Trailer, I'm not a fan of the aluminum trailers. I would replace all 6 tires and go through the wheel bearings. The aluminum rims are pitted and look rough. The one center bunk is tilted wrong on the trailer. The boat just needs to be loaded correctly. The boat needs a major cleaning and buffing. Slightly oxidized. There is one chip the size of a dime above the rub rail down to the glass and about a two inch scratch on the side. Very easy to fix. A few big scuffs on the bottom of the hull from loading on the trailer or from the lift it is stored on in the summer. I think most of it will buff out. The drives have a few very small dings in the skag. The props are slightly rusty. Paint on drives look good. The remote switch for the stereo was removed and left with three open holes. The interior needs major clening but all vinyl looks good. Cockpit cover dirty but in good condition. The sales person said the biminey and all curtains etc... have never been used. Cabin all looks good but a little bit of a musty smell. The batterys were dead so I didn't look at the engine compartment. The boat was sold new in Oshkosh. Maintained at Sweewater. Stored warm in the winter. The boat has been run on Lake Winnebago. It is a consignment boat and it sounds like the owner will deal on the price. Overall, if you are willing to do a lot of cleaning and buffing I think it would be a good looking package. |

+2 My wife and I are going to try and look at it tomorrow, funny I have never seen that boat on Winnebago until 3 weekends ago, must not have been used much. SC's stand out to me pretty quickly, matter of fact when we saw it the other weekend, I called to my friend and said is that a 280SC docked up there about 1/4 mile out and was shocked when it was a 320, never seen one on the lake. |
Good Call, thank you very much for taking the time to look at the boat! Your time is much appreciated!
Quest are you looking to move into a cruiser style boat or just something bigger? |

Here is a new one that popped up on eBay. Willing to trade for a performance boat too.

It's all good guys, maybe we can get a 3 way deal going!
I am serious about moving the PQ as I am interested in getting into a cross-over style boat, but obviously selling price is the key as I absolutely love the Avenger. I would like to find my next boat before letting her go but like everything else, money talks. I'm at 308 hours, the tops ends have not been touched. The boat is as loaded as you could get except power bolsters, she has air/heat, hot/cold water, fridge, microwave, sink in galley, porcelain head with shower, filler cushion in cuddy to make second bed, dinette table, 19" led tv with DVD, transom shower, Smartcraft vessel view, bimini with full camper enclosure, sea trainers, one brand new XR drive with 0 hours, drive showers, full hydraulic steering, mint Bravo 1's and a set of Hydromotive P5-X's. This Poker Run Edition is sitting on a mint triple axle Vanguard trailer with new tires, has checkered aluminum tool box and electric tongue jack. I'm sure I'm missing some things but as most know this is probably the nicest Avenger to ever leave the Powerquest Factory. The boat was featured in the 2005 Powerquest brochure book as well. I have loads of pictures for those that would like to see more in detail. Thanks, Mike |
