380 Avenger with 525's

I have a 380 avenger with 525's. I am yet to find an Avenger with more than 500's. it also is the only 380 with a full Power Quest graphic down the side. Any of you hard core Power Quest guys can give me some input.

There are a couple of more 525 powered boats out there, yours and mine are not the only 2.
I'm not sure which one you have, but if it's the one I'm thinking about, it is an 05 correct??

Need4SpeedGTCS 05-05-2014 09:12 PM

Oh there are a few out there as I remember when I was looking for mine...

RickyDanner 05-06-2014 07:24 AM

One of you guys bite the bullet and put big power in your 380's! Better yet, someone sell me one minus the power and I'll do it.

OP- where do you usually boat in a DFW?

verbi69 05-06-2014 07:41 AM

Need 4 speed has put some upgrades to his 575's and should be seeing some impressive numbers with his!!
The thought of putting 700+ hp a side has crossed my mind several times but the deterrent is paying for premium fuel while out on the water.
I would love to keep my 525's to put in my next ride.....

AJ POWERPLAY 05-06-2014 09:22 AM

I think two of the 04 poker run edition boats came with 525's, and also the multi-colored boat that came with the shock bolsters (came with fairing and was later changed to windshield)

Don't even put that thought/possibility in my mind Mike! I'll be single and homeless but I'd have a kick a$$ boat with no motors!!

TNTBOATING 05-06-2014 05:20 PM

its a 2004

Its a 2004. I put a pic of it on FB power quest boat owners sight. I have both motors out getting rebuilt by power play racing. Verbi69 that is a beautiful boat.

But the possibilities and adventures would be priceless...lol.

Did you give up on selling yours?

AJ POWERPLAY 05-08-2014 07:45 AM

Yea it was for sale out of FL for a while... Definitely a great looking 380! I think it had the interior redone in it at some point. Are you rebuilding back to stock or modding at all?

Summer is here, I haven't re listed it yet but would sell it!!!

I would upgrade to that in a heartbeat if timing were better. That boat is beautiful. Absolutely love our old 380, but that newer stepped with big power would be fun!

watch craigslist for grand rapids Michigan, the 380 phil started to redesign is being finished up (or so I heard) and should be brought to auction soon with no power

PWRQWST 10-28-2014 07:18 PM

Mine came with 525sc's that have been bumped to 615hp each. There is also a 1998 with 525c's that I know of and is there 1 or 2 with 575c's?

1quick1 01-13-2015 03:04 PM

I bought a 1995 380 avenger in the fall. This boat has a pair of 600sc in it. .Also has V ssm drive assemblies. Odd combination for a PQ. Have'nt seen another one like it.

Cory H 01-14-2015 07:31 AM

How's the boat coming, Tim?

1quick1 01-14-2015 10:54 AM

Yea the boats coming along real well .Waiting for the upholstery to come back from the upholstery shop .Wheel it & wax it & clean the inside. Wait for the Hard water to soften up & I should be good to go.

Cory H 01-14-2015 11:35 AM

Have fun wheelin'! Did mine 2 yrs. ago. Took 20hrs total. The bow deck really sucks! My shoulders and arms hurt just thinking about the whole process!

kevlar382 01-29-2015 08:39 AM

There was at least one built with Merc 600s
