270 laser forum opinion-looking to buy
 

Hi, I am new to this group and doing some PQ shopping. New to boating I have falling in love with the Powerquest. Need all the feedback I can get before I make the trip and get a survey.

I have a 1998 270 and I love mine. It has a nice ride and a lot of room. They aren't the fastest (I can get to about 62 with a 502 mag) but they are comfortable.

That boat looks in awesome condition, appears the owner took great care with it. I had a 98 for a couple years. Sold it because I took it down to LOTO and wanted something bigger after a couple years. But it was a great boat for the smaller central Illinois lakes I used it on the first year.

That's a very sharp clean Laser and being the original owner, I think is a big plus. Good Luck!

The only negative I see with the boat in the pics is a lack of bolster seats. Otherwise it appears to be a clean ride!

Thanks for the advice and feedback. Came back from Wisconsin with the boat. Looks no where near 20 years old and runs great.

What speed do you get out of it?

454 EFI, and I have gotten up to 57, but that is all I need for the moment.
