New Boat
We finally pulled the trigger and bought a new (to us) boat. It is a used 2003 300 Revenge. It is the purple version of the 3 "Disney" boats.
We had it out on it's maiden voyage yesterday. It ran great. As soon as I figure out how to post a picture, I will. Thanks to everyone that gave me advice during my boat shopping, especially the Lake Perry crew. Dave |
Re: New Boat
Good luck with the new boat:) What power does it have?
|
Re: New Boat
Yes, way to go. That is a huge boat for a 30' ... especially the freeboard and engine compartment.

It has the Mag HO's. And there is a lot of room in the engine compartment.

Dave,
She is a beauty! And she sounds awesome and runs like a champ! I am so glad we were there to see her first time at Perry and at the cove! :woohoo: Here is Dave and Beth on the first time out with their new girl! |
Re: New Boat
Sweeeeeeet!
Time for a new avatar. :drink: |
Re: New Boat
That is a real nice looking boat:):) That package should be good for 80+++

Re: New Boat
Gary, during the maiden voyage my speedo quit working. We were running with a friend that had GPS on his boat and he said we were 78-80 at times. I know this is not a good test. I need my own GPS unit and lucky for me, I have a friend that works for Garmin! Maybe he can help me out.
Macklin, You are right a new avatar is in order. I am looking. Is there any 300 Revenge owners out there? Dave |
Re: New Boat
Congratulations Dave!

Yes and then some!!! Does the Revenge leave the factory with 30"P's. |
Re: New Boat
Not sure if left the factory with them, but yes, she has them. Showing my ignorance, is this a good thing?
I am still and will be for quite some time, learning! Dave |
Re: New Boat
Absolutely(sp?) :D my vyper shipped with 28's and runs 76-78 w/100 gals fuel and 2 people all day and will hit 80 with my labbed 28's. I do not prefer my labbed props for every day use, to much middle range slippage (cup is gone). Once broken in, the HO'S love 5000 rpm. Do yourself a favor, your speedo clogged at the drive and it will continue to do it, get a GPS speedo.
Mine is one of the first PQ's to ship with HO's (1/01/). I have learned a few tricks, if I can help, let me know. Congratulations |
Re: New Boat
Sweet boat! PQ makes one he ll of a boat. Enjoy it.

Re: New Boat
Very nice looking boat!
Congrats--love the graphics. |
Re: New Boat
Kentz, you know we are in the same boat :D as far as cruise speeds with lab props are concerned. I am hearing very good things about the 5 bladers. Throttle Up has a set of P5's for trial on our boats. And I was just told by one of our club members he has a set of Maximus props he will let me try.
Come on spring!! |
