I guess I stand corrected:)I was never in a 270. But the engine compartment on my boat goes under the rear seat and I don't think it does that on the 270. Plus the cabin is probably a little bigger, so that doesn't leave too much difference in the cockpit, or so I was thinking:)That Formula ss is a real nice boat. Which one are you thinking about? Because, if you are looking for that type of boat Powerquest makes a 280 SC that has a real big cockpit. Good luck with the search:)

I did look at the 280SC , very nice well built boat but not really the look I wanted. The Formula SS still offers the sleek lines. And I want to get something I can trailer. I belive the 280 SC has a pretty wide beam. I can tell you guys this much, I went to the Chicago show and looked very hard! There sure is a lot of junk or should I say poor quality out there! One beautiful boat at the show was that new Chris Craft. I beleive it was 30' and had a price tag of $320,000. They sure hit a home run on the retro look!

A European company owns Cris Craft now. I quess that's where they got that look.
