We might become a Profile dealer with their new owner. Before you guys start bashing them even the old owner made a very nice product and the new owner offers a lifetime hull warranty.

As part of your due dilligence you should likely review the data file I have. That is just an offer to a fellow boater, nothing more, nothing less.

A couple guys here got burn't I guess...

Every Profile Owner I've actually met though loved thier boats and Randy was held in high regard by em so go figure. I know the older ones I've seen however seemed to have issues with spider cracks. Newer ones I've come across seem to be a bit more stout though but I've only seen a couple and one was a cat.

The cats run really nice and the new ones are built super tuff. :cool: We built an 850 HP motor for one that runs 115+ and will do it in a good chop!

Got hustler instead

as part of buying a very high dollar item from someone some basic investigation is useful.

I might check dunn and bradstreet, there is a very small fee, but it is useful.

I might check the CRIMINAL records of the builders, might be something there.

I might check with the people who WERE dealers, and are not now.

Check the secretary of state, the BBB, and State Attorney General for background info.

This industry has some truly great people who play by the rules, and some who will screw you in a second flat. You are the only one who has a dollar to lose in the deal, so there is no one else alive who can check these things.

Everyone should do their own research, if this were a $30 itme, who cares, the worst that can happen is you lose $30, no one feel the pain of losing that for long, but a boat???? That is a different story.

I am sorry to hear of your problems with Profile.
Anyway, good luck with your Profile and hopefully you will be happy with the boat now. it sounds like you have it dialed in. Do you have any pics you can post?? What model do you have?
All boats seem to have their problems and bugs that need to be worked out in the beginning.
I am a firm believer that NONE of them are ever perfect.
